I have been a Registered Nurse in clinical practice for over 20 years specializing primarily in Surgical Care and Pain Management. Years of bedside nursing took a toll on my body and I began looking for alternatives to pharmaceuticals for chronic pain relief. I was introduced to CBD & it has literally changed my life!
I feel very passionate about sharing this gift of nature with as many people (and pets) as I can!
I received my formal nursing education at Boston College and have grown my knowledge of cannabis through various education platforms including the Medical Cannabis Institute and Radicle Health as well as a mentorship program with The Green Nurse advocacy platform. I am a member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association and the Cannabis Nurses Network.
I am a member of The Green Nurse advocacy platform and the Green Network Providers , a non-profit organization . You can learn more about each of these organizations below.
The Green Nurse is an action oriented organization of dedicated professionals and nurses who seek to relieve suffering via the safe use of medical cannabis and other natural, holistic therapies.
Following the guidelines of each state in which the The Green Nurse operates, we effect positive change in individuals’ lives through direct education, advocacy, empowerment and public policy generation.
We recognize nursing as the most compassionate of professions, and understand all patients are unique, thus requiring diverse approaches to their care.
Our goal is to make sure that everyone is educated and getting the care they need with the utilization of cannabis as a tool for wellness.
The ACNA's mission statement is to advance excellence in cannabis nursing practice through advocacy, collaboration, education, research and policy development.
